Food Service Hero

Food Service Environmental Monitoring for Healthcare

CenTrak's environmental monitoring solutions monitors perishable food items to achieve proper storage safety and maintain shelf life. Dishwasher rinse temperatures are also monitored as per HACCP standards.

Reduce food waste and ensure the safety of consumable items to guarantee compliance of food service operations

Continuous tracking of temperatures ensures that all dietary and nutritional items are safe for patients, staff, and visitor consumption. Through a wireless LCD temperature display sensor and intuitive software solutions, CenTrak auto-generates alerts (audible, SMS, email, visual) when temperatures deviate from set parameters.

Food Service - Problem

Manual temperature collection can be inconsistent, inaccurate, and time-consuming

Manually recording the conditions of refrigerators, freezers, deli-cases, hotboxes, walk-ins, dishwashers, blast chillers, and galley lines has the potential for inconsistent data collection and inaccuracy. Imprecise temperature tracking can lead to poor food quality, food contamination, and food waste.

Automated Monitoring - Solution

Automated temperature monitoring provides confidence that food is safe and ready to serve

With an automatic monitoring system, kitchens avoid the dangers of human error while simultaneously benefiting from the efficiencies and accuracy provided by digital data. CenTrak's industry-leading solution includes accurate sensors, robust software applications, and NIST certification services.

With CenTrak, we know that we are remaining compliant and doing right by our patients.

Enterprise solution for your environmental monitoring program

Are you still manually checking and logging the temperatures of your food service products? CenTrak provides a wireless, real-time temperature monitoring system that completes compliance reports automatically and sends immediate alerts wherever and whenever corrective action is needed.

  • Temperature Sensors
    EM - Temp Sensor

Keep the right storage conditions & eliminate manual labor

CenTrak’s Temperature Sensor for food service automatically monitors the conditions of refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers (-200 ºC to +125 ºC with select probes). Each sensor supports up to two separate probes, so you can monitor multiple environments, as well as door ajar sensing. Immediate temperature viewing, alarms, and local alert settings are enabled by the built-in LCD display.

    • Low-battery alert feature and 2-year battery life
    • 5- to 60-minute configurable measurement and reporting rate
    • Offline data storage (30 days of data) in the event of a network or power outage
  • Real-Time Alerting
    EM - Real-Time Alerting

Know right away if food storage temperatures fluctuate

Alerts are triggered by sensing values, device status (probe disconnect, door ajar, low battery), and process breakdowns. Real-time notifications and customizable escalation chains enable staff to take immediate action when conditions begin to fall outside of safe parameters. Corrective actions performed are automatically logged in the system for future data analysis. Our integration with Active Directory enables alert notifications to be automatically routed based on user permissions and staff scheduling. A simple import/export tool is available to quickly configure hundreds of sensors, users, and alerts. Alerts are sent via:

    • SMS/MMS
    • Email
    • Phone Calls
    • Alarm, Lights, Strobes
  • Regulatory Reporting
    EM - Regulatory Reporting

Automated compliance reporting keeps you in step with food safety guidelines

Generate reports based on individual sensors or a customizable group (such as departmental views) to support a variety of regulatory compliance needs. CenTrak's environmental monitoring software eliminates the time-consuming process of manual documentation, as well as the risk of human error.

    EM - How it Works

    Scalable technology designed for healthcare

CenTrak's temperature monitoring technology for healthcare is a scalable solution powered by the potential for fully wireless deployments. The temperature sensors have the ability to operate under various network configurations, such as CenTrak UHF (i.e., 900 MHz) and/or Wi-Fi (Cisco CCX, Aruba ACX, UDP) including support for WPA2 Enterprise deployments. This same technology infrastructure is used to support a variety of RTLS use cases, all from a single vendor. Sensor management is simple. Devices are fully configurable in the field, support over-the-air firmware upgrades, and BLE connectivity enables a simple setup procedure.

  • NIST Certification Services
    EM - NIST

Have confidence in safety and compliance

CenTrak adheres to ISO-17025 quality protocols. Certified and documented prior to shipment, each sensor/probe tested in-house is NIST traceable. CenTrak’s temperature monitoring software electronically stores all NIST certifications. NIST services are provided by CenTrak or one of our certified partners. Never miss a re-certification deadline with automated alerts.
